“Drying and preserving flowers is a wonderful way to create lasting pieces that capture the beauty of nature. I use several different techniques to make sure the flowers dry in their best possible state, but the beauty of botanical art lies in its imperfections and natural charm. Sometimes the flowers look quite different from their fresh state, but still beautiful. This is slow work, completed in many stages over many months. I enjoy the process as much as the finished pieces.” - Claire Barry, artist.
